black and white version: [link] 14"x17" Oils on wood panel old painting, but new photo of it wow thanks a lot for the daily deviation!! so many people to thank.... i guess since so many people are looking at this i should reveal the story behind how i came to make this haha and its a pretty simple one. basically my ex wanted me to paint abraham lincoln, but with really bright colors. and she was my girlfriend haha so i gave it my all. luckily i still have the original though. so there, thats how it came to be.. i know his eyes look a little wierd, and i left them like that cuz i thought they made him look a bit like a zombie Daily DeviationGiven 2009-02-12With the remembrance of the 200th birthday of our Sixteenth President, it is an honor to present something that I humbly feel beautifully portrays a man that I have admired since I was a young girl.
